Love this family – we had so much fun with this session! Big sister had lost her first tooth the night before, so she had the best gap-toothed smile. And she and little sister just adored each other.

happy weekend!
I came across this on a walk recently. Apparently the cows in this field (who weren’t there when we visited) have all been trained to eat weeds rather than grass. They’re more nutritious for the cows and the native grasses are given a better opportunity to grow, increasing the biodiversity of plants, insects, birds, and other wildlife, as well as improvements in the soil. Who knew you could train a cow?Have a great weekend! -
sunny side up
I can’t tell you how much I love my macro lens. Shooting macro opens up a whole new world of subjects and textures. I love how I can break something down into it’s most basic elements and reveal the details you may have missed otherwise, like these little yellow flowers within the flower. I’m a sucker for a good macro shot. Are you? -

what’s new
I’m now offering photo greeting cards, available with your choice of photo.
The card will also fit a 5×7 frame, for a pre-matted mini-print. See my shop listing for more details. -
fresh and clean
You may have noticed, I’ve been revamping my blog. I wanted to make it a little more simple, more fresh. I’ve updated my etsy as well and have started adding room images to help visualize what my prints may look like on display. I only wish I could do the same to my own house.
Hope you like…

forgive me, i’m blog-stupid
I don’t typically make new year’s resolutions; that way I don’t break them. 🙂 But this year I have a few, including being the best mom I can be to my children and taking my photography to the next level. Sometimes those things collide – sometimes in a good way, but sometimes not. I need to work on the balance…
Anyway, as part of my photography goal, I’d like to get my blog on track and make it enjoyable. I want to figure out how I can better size my photos (yes, I realize they’re too small now) and I want to include more about myself and what I’m doing rather than simply what’s for sale in my shop. I’d love to do weekly features and showcase some of my own favorite photographers. Lots of big plans. I hope you stick around!

testing 1, 2, 3. is this thing on?
I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a long time, but hesitated because seriously, what do I have to blog about? Several fabulous creative friends have inspired me to finally do this. So without further ado…
Please bear with me while I get things going. And feel free to offer suggestions! I’d love to hear from anyone who may be out there. 🙂
